16 Years!!! August 1, 2008

Jeff and I went downtown and spent the night on Jeff's boss' sailboat. We had dinner at the Harbor Cafe and met an interesting couple that wanted to join us for dinner--why not and they took us for a sail after dinner. It was a beautiful night and we even saw Fireworks over Navy Pier. We got back to our boat about 10:00 and just sat and enjoyed the night sky and listened to the city. The boat was a little wavy at night, but we slept good and enjoyed breakfast on the boat. We did some reading and a little swimming. We had a nice little getaway!!!

Pool Pics

We love spending time at the pool. There is always someone to play with, whether it's in the pool, riding bike, playing ball or fishing. When the Olympics were on the kids saw a new game they could play--water polo--they loved playing it and it was also fun to watch and referee(we try, every once in awhile to look up from our books). Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Bleyenburg, and a special thanks to Grandma for always having it so clean and crystal clear! Tyler enjoying summer to the fullest!!
Abby thinking one is good and three is great for safety!
Blake and Olivia discussing 1st grade coming soon, NOT!
Ready, Set and Jump!
Zach finding all the arm floats he could.

Mohawks!!!

I gave the boys haircuts and they wanted to sport some mohawks, so since its summer I gave in. Grandpa Bleyenburg even liked them just said off before Sunday!

Zach's All-Star Games

Doing a little catching, which he loves!
Some Pitching, which he also loves!
Some hitting, which he likes, but loves stealing bases!
Jaedyn and Olivia being girls and doing each other's hair and the ball field?

4th of July

We went downtown for the fireworks on the 3rd, let's just say it was a very interesting event and alot of people. They were good and so pretty against the city skyline. We spent the 4th at the beach--it was a nice day and we all had fun relaxing and playing in the sand and water.

Forgot One

Two weeks before school was out Jaedyn got glasses. She was so funny when I brought them home and she had them on for the first time--she says "O, mom I can see you so good" she then went outside and just started taking everything in, so cute. She has been pretty good with them--the second night she had them and we were playing cards and it got kinda crazy and the glasses went flying, they were fine. We have lost them only once and looked for 30 minutes before we found them in the corner of the family room by the bookshelf. She does sometimes forget to put them on, but that will come as she definitely needs them to see good.

Jaedyn's 10th Birthday June 28 -- Two Parties

Leah, Courtney, Jaedyn and Jennifer
Jaedyn had a class birthday party with friends from her class. They were dropped off at the pool and we played a lot of games. The first ones were tube relay games, then the bottle push in the pool, gather the ice cubes, fill the bucket, and the last one was the scavenger hunt. They had a lot of fun in the pool and then headed for home--it was going to be a sleepover!!! We had games planned for at night too--spin the nail polish bottle, who did what and we all decorated a pillowcase. It was a fun night and they were all sleeping by 11:30. The next day we left for the beach at 9:30--we had a great day there too! Happy Birthday Jaedyn--Hope it was good--cuz, your mom was tired and partied out!

We celebrated Jaedyn's 10th birthday with the family on Saturday. We had lunch first of pizza and salads--then it was time to open gifts. Jaedyn got a lot of cool gifts--Easy Bake Oven and accessories, shorts/t-shirt, tote bag, knee pads, flip flops and Old Navy gift card. We played a couple of games and just hung with everyone by the pool--it was a great party!
